Väki Weekly Yoga Classes
This article includes detailed description of our weekly classes. Our classes are mainly instructed in Finnish, but many traveller has attended during the years, so talk to instructor before the class and she/he will guide you if necessary.
We recommend you to bring your own yoga mat, but we rent one for you if that is not possible. More over, to join us, please register, log in, and ensure you have a valid class pass (1, 5, 10 visits, or membership).

Traditional Yoga
Gentle practice that you can join as you are, without any prior experience in yoga. In traditional yoga, we dive deep into the world of traditional yoga. This class offers an opportunity to unite the body, mind, and breath into a harmonious whole according to traditional yoga principles. Traditional yoga is a multifaceted yoga method that combines the pursuit of balance between body, mind, and breath. This ancient practice aims to promote overall well-being. We start the class with a varied dynamic series and then we do a comprehensive balancing series on the floor.
This class is held at a mild temperature of about 22 degrees and may use music.
Väki Yoga
A full-body purifying and strengthening dynamic yoga practice that develops strength, flexibility, body control, and concentration. We do the same series (standing and floor series) every time in a high temperature, allowing you to follow your progress and the effect of each period on the practice itself. The series includes two breathing exercises that can develop oxygen uptake and strengthen the diaphragm. The static holding of the postures improves the body's strength, flexibility, and balance. Although the intensity of the practice can be adjusted by how effectively you activate your body, this class is more suitable for those seeking a challenge. Since the practice is done in a high temperature, drink plenty of fluids during the day before the practice.
This class is held at about 33 degrees and may use music.
Flow Yoga & Singing Bowls
Our Flow yoga class invites you to cultivate warmth, flexibility, and balance through fluid and gentle sequences. Each class offers a unique experience. We pause to check in with our bodies and cultivate self-compassion. You'll find a harmonious balance between active movement and deep relaxation. To conclude, we'll be guided into a state of tranquility with the soothing sounds of singing bowls.
This class is heated to a comfortable 25 degrees Celsius.
Pilates
In this class, we will be practicing Pilates exercises that strengthen the muscles of the core and shoulder girdle, increase flexibility, and improve body control. We will also be doing exercises from classical Pilates, which are slightly more challenging but can be modified to suit your fitness level. The class is led by a physiotherapist, ensuring safe and effective training as well as personalized guidance when needed. The physiotherapist's guidance specifically supports the development of body control and muscle balance, making the exercises even more effective.

Yin Yoga & Singing Bowls
An exercise that counteracts muscular work, allowing you to let go of all performance. Yin yoga postures are passive and often performed using various props. In the postures, you surrender to gravity and hold them for several minutes to reach the deepest layers of the body. Yin yoga soothes the nervous system and teaches the skill of accepting presence. At the end of the class, the sounds of singing bowls guide you towards relaxation.
This class is held at approximately 28 degrees Celsius and may include music.
Flow Yoga & Meditation
In Flow yoga, we seek warmth, flexibility, and balance in the body through flowing and gentle sequences of asanas. The class content varies. During the practice, we pause to listen to the body's sensations and practice self-compassion. We also seek balance between active practice and surrender to relaxation. The flow sequence varies, but the class always begins with a breathing exercise and ends with a meditation.
This class is held at a temperature of approximately 22 degrees Celsius.
Gentle Yoga
In this class, we will gently move the body in rhythm with the breath and calming music, and pause to rest in relaxation. In an accepting and gentle atmosphere, it is safe to calm down and come to the presence of your own self, just as you are. We listen to our own bodies without judgment or condemnation. We thank it for carrying us forward and carrying our story.
This class is held in a mild temperature, around 23 degrees, and music may be used
Family Yoga
Family Yoga is designed for children aged 3-7 and a significant adult in their life. Family Yoga offers a wonderful opportunity for adults and children to enjoy physical activity together. Through gentle movements and relaxation, it strengthens the bond between parent and child.
Yoga poses are introduced through fun stories and playful activities. These uplifting exercises foster trust, concentration, self-esteem, and body awareness between children and adults. Everyone practices yoga in their own unique way, and there is no right or wrong way to do it. In this way, we learn to be gentle with ourselves and others.
Our instructor, Mari, has years of experience teaching children a variety of physical activities. She has worked in early childhood education and currently works as a school support worker.
Family Yoga costs €10 per child (adults can join for free when accompanied by a child). Please only register yourself or your child for this class. If you have multiple children or siblings coming as a pair, please indicate the total number of participants (maximum 3). Registration requires you to create an account and log in. You can purchase a single-use at the venue.
Wellness Pass Pilates - only for Wellness Pass Members
Pilates classes involve simple exercises that strengthen the core muscles, increase flexibility, and improve body control. Pilates enhances body awareness, leaving you feeling strong, supported, yet relaxed after the session.
The exercises are performed slowly and mindfully in various positions on the floor. Pilates is suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels, and the instructor can modify the exercises to suit individual needs if necessary.
Wellness Pass Yoga- only for Wellness Pass Members
A calming and multifaceted exercise suitable for all fitness levels, focusing on reducing stress and promoting relaxation. The session incorporates a variety of gentle movements, including spinal extensions, forward and backward bends, and twists, along with breathing and relaxation techniques.
