Our story
Väki was born from a desire to create an uplifting and calming space, a fun place to spend precious time. We want to bring climbing and yoga to everyone with a relaxed and community-oriented approach. Mission was to create a warm and welcoming feeling.
Everyone has the right to push their limits. At Väki, you can climb branch by branch, at your own pace, to explore new and vast horizons.
Climbing and yoga nourish individual feelings of accomplishment, which you can share with the entire community. Whether you're just starting your ascent or are already close to the summit, together we strive for new heights and horizons within ourselves.
Here, you can take your time to explore and feel things out, or jump straight into action. Climbing and yoga support each other as well as other hobbies and well-being. We, in turn, support you in developing both your physical and mental self-control and balance.
At the same time, we are also developing. Väki is all of us – together and as individuals.
Who we are?
Antti Väisänen and Natalia Kiuru, recent Rovaniemi residents and fresh entrepreneurs. We wanted to create a place that would make our beloved hobbies accessible to others in a relaxed and communal atmosphere.
Life in the capital region wasn't for us. We longed for nature and a more down-to-earth lifestyle where we could raise our child and do meaningful work. Rovaniemi perfectly suited our plans, as Antti is originally from Lapland and Natalia from a small town in Kymenlaakso.
The idea was born from dreams that evolved into plans, which in turn progressed into realization. It was a long process that also involved personal life changes, including purchasing land, a house project, and moving, which was demanding and challenging but worth all the effort.
Our goal was to create a space that would be uplifting and calming, harmonious and spacious, and of course, a fun place to pursue hobbies. We also wanted to support the local community, so the elements of Väki – both visually and functionally – reflect the work of our local partners.
With Väki, a new chapter begins in our lives. We sincerely hope that Rovaniemi residents interested in yoga and climbing will also find new motivation for their hobbies. We do this with passion for our customers and together with you – let's push our limits together and enjoy the feeling of success.
